we need to add our username to the vboxgroup
to be able to run the program or we going to get errors that are going to cook your noodle

In Fedora / Centos we do this
centos : go to the Applications menu than system settings and do the rest :)

go to system -> admin tools -> users / groups

 

double  click on the users than go to the groups tab find "vboxusers' click ok .. log out and than back in

 way to add users to the group for the VirtualBox to run

log in as root users
than type
yast <enter>

go down to security and user pick group managerment from the list <enter>




pick from the list the vboxusers group than push ALT + I






than ALT + M than pick the members users you want to be able to run the VirtualBox  program
by pushing the spacebar key on the user name than up or down arrow to find another user


 

once done that than push ALT +A




than ALT + F than ALT Q
if user log in on desktop than log out and relog in

after its install
im on an FC 6 / Gnome desktop
application - > system tools - > VirtualBox
click on new



 

OpenSuse

 

 click on the computer icon than more applications


than the InnoTek VirutalBox should be at the top of the list under new applications

( if you want it in the start menu , right click than add to Favourites or drag onto desktop)
